Rinse and Use

1.Opening the Package

  • Choose the required Bovine Pericardial Tissue Patch size as appropriate for the type of procedure being performed.
  • Carefully inspect the box for damage and outside labels for expiry. If no damage is observed and not expired, open the packaging.
  • Items found inside:
    • Jar containing Invengenx®
    • Instructions For Use (IFU)
    • Patient Registration Form (PRF)

2.Opening the Jar

If the integrity of the container is compromised or if an adequate amount of glutaraldehyde is not present, do not use the device for human implantation.

Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid breathing in storage solution vapor during handling.

Minimize skin contact.

  • In case of contact, immediately flush area with water. If contact with the eyes occurs, seek immediate medical attention.

3.Rinse and Use

  • Take two sterile containers and fill with the appropriate amount of saline as determined for each patch and rinse according to the IFU.
  • Allow the Bovine Pericardial Tissue Patch to remain in the final rinse container until ready for use.
  • Keep the tissue moist by keeping it irrigated with sterile saline on both sides.
  • Device may be tailored by the surgeon to any desired shape
